Marcus spent six years behind a barber chair in Greensboro before he moved to Asheville and learned color and long-hair work at Maple & Rye. He now has one of the fullest books in town for curly and textured cuts, and he is just as happy with a clean taper.
His curl cuts start dry, with a conversation about how your hair lives day to day: how much time you give it, what you hate about it, what it does in humidity. Then he cuts and shapes it curl by curl.
