Dana grew up in Black Mountain, cut her first bangs (her own) in the seventh grade and has never been fully forgiven by her mother. She assisted in a busy Atlanta salon for four years, then came home and opened Maple & Rye in a two-chair room above a bookstore in 2014. The studio moved to Wilder Street in 2019.
She is the person people see when a color has gone wrong somewhere else, and also for the quiet pleasure of a blonde that grows out well. She will tell you if a look needs three visits instead of one, and what each one costs, before she mixes anything.
